Mark Hasseler

Mark Francis Hasseler, 68, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on April 4, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Mark was born on May 25th, 1953 to James and Arlene Hasseler in Green Bay, WI. After graduating from DePere High School, he married his high school sweetheart Barbara Westcott in 1972. Throughout the course of their 49 year marriage they lived in Florida, Colorado, settled in California and retired in Arizona. Mark and Barb went on to have two children, Eric and Sarah before moving to California in 1983. Mark was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything; anyone who knew him knew that he was the most strong, kind and loving Husband and Father one could ever ask for.

Mark was a master craftsman with an amazing talent for woodworking so he began his own custom finish carpentry business, Hasseler Finish Carpentry, which he later asked his son and son-in-law to join so they too could learn his craft. Known to those close to him, he was the “jack of all trades”; Mark could fix anything, build anything and sometimes it felt like he could DO anything. Mark also enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a dedicated member to his local Harley chapter in San Marcos, CA.

After retiring in 2015, Mark and Barb moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona where they enjoyed traveling across the U.S. together in their trailer, camping, desert riding in their Can-Am and boating. More recently, Mark even began to gold mine in his spare time and was a member of Havasu Gold Seekers. He was a member of the local Lake Havasu Elks Club and was a strong advocate of America’s First Responders, Military and Veterans thru his support of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Mark was predeceased by his Father James Hasseler and Mother-in-Law Bonnie Westcott. He is survived by his Mother Arlene, Wife Barbara, Brothers Jim, Paul & Tom, Sisters Barbara & Elizabeth, Children Eric & Sarah and 5 Grandchildren Amber, Adam, Ethan, Maci & Carter.
