Larry E. Bowser
August 31, 1936 – December 1, 2024
Larry E. Bowser, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 1, 2024, at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Born on August 31, 1936, in Anderson, Indiana, Larry was the cherished son of Lawrence and Gladys Bowser (Presser).
Larry graduated from Anderson High School and began his college journey at Indiana University, where he was a proud member of Theta Chi Fraternity. He later completed his education at the University of Colorado, earning a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, a degree that paved the way for a successful career at Honeywell. As a Production Engineering Manager, Larry’s leadership and expertise left a lasting impact on the company and those he worked with.
Larry and Marilyn (Gibson) met during their time at Indiana University, and the two were married on August 11, 1956, in Muncie, Indiana. Their marriage of 67 years was a testament to their love and partnership. The love they shared was something unmatched—a true testament to partnership, devotion, and joy. Together, they shared a love that inspired everyone who knew them and stood as a goal for any couple built on love, respect, and unwavering commitment. Together, they welcomed their son, Larry Earl Bowser, on February 14, 1959, and built a beautiful life filled with love and family.
Larry and Marilyn both retired in their 50s, embracing the freedom to explore life’s joys. They shared a love for golfing, traveling, watching hockey, and the excitement of racing, hobbies that enriched their lives and created cherished memories. In 2016, they relocated full time to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, after "snowbirding" there for many years.
Larry is preceded in death by his beloved wife Marilyn, his parents, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, George and Dorothy Ann Sheridan. He is survived by his son, Larry Earl Bowser; his granddaughters, Leanne Bowman (Shain) of Frenchtown, Montana, and Cori Bohannon of Amarillo, Texas; and his three great-grandsons, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Larry will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his sharp mind, and his adventurous spirit. His legacy of love, laughter, and a life well-lived will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
