Kris Wagerle

–

Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Kris Kevin Wagerle passed away on October 25, 2021, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was surrounded by his wife of 28 years, his father, his three children and their spouses, along with his five grandchildren. Kris was born to Neal and Roberta Wagerle in January 1958 in Lynwood, California. Kris’s father worked for the Los Angeles County Fire Department and his mother worked for a while at a local bank, but was mostly a full-time mom to Kris and his sister Lisa. They lived several places, Lynwood, Buena Park, West Covina, and Compton before settling in Quartz Hill, California in 1968.

In June 1976 Kris graduated from Quartz Hill High School, where he played football for the Quartz Hill Rebels. After high school Kris began his career in construction and in 1990 he started his own plumbing company. Kris married Debbie Chavez in 1977 and welcomed their daughter, Tara, in 1978, and a few years later their son, Ryan, in 1980.

In May 1993 Kris married Sharron Murray and gained another son, Wesley, who was born in 1985. They had a custom home build in Quartz Hill in 2006 and in June 2021 they move to Lake Havasu City where they were planning to build their retirement home.

Kris was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a great friend to all! Family was an important part of Kris’s life. He enjoyed attending the various activities the kids had as they grew up: dance, baseball, football, soccer. Family vacations were also a big thing with Lake Havasu as a favorite vacation spot for everyone. Spending the day out on the lake and playing mexican horseshoes in the evening was always on the agenda. Kris and Sharron also enjoyed RV camping each year at a few NASCAR races with friends. A few RV trips each year were also planned by Kris for just him and Sharron. Traveling around the United States was on the list of things they were looking forward to once Sharron retired in 2022.

Along with RV Camping Kris also loved to cook and was great at it. He was always looking for something new to fix for dinner. After retiring he started woodworking and built several pieces of furniture for their home and several things for the kids. Give him a picture of what you wanted and he would make it.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Roberta Wagerle. Kris is survived by his beloved wife Sharron Wagerle, father Neal Wagerle, sister Lisa Hertan, daughter Tara Luge, son-in-law Harry Luge, son Ryan Wagerle, daughter-in-law Angie Riley, and son Wesley Murray. Along with his five grandchildren: Baylee, Harlee, Easton, Drew and Luke.
