Lake Havasu City, Arizona
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce that Kerin M Lyons of Lake Havasu City AZ was sent home to be with Jesus on Sunday, 07 May 2023 after a very long battle with Cancer. Kerin is survived by his wife of 48 years Paula Lyons, Daughters Misty Lyons and Cristina Lyons-Westlund, Granddaughters Brooklynn Delgado and Brianna Westlund, great Granddaughter Everleigh Turnbough, Grandson Christopher Westlund, son-in-law Marc Westlund and his sister Marcia Pierce. Kerin was Born in Buffalo NY in 1955 to Francis and Helen Lyons. Kerin's mother became pregnant with Kerin at the age of 45 and did not intend on having anymore babies as she already had 3 girls and 1 boy, so he was what his mother referred to as an unexpected blessing. They were so ecstatic about his arrival that they even named him after the Doctor that delivered him and that is how he acquired his unique name. When Kerin was around 8 years old he and his parents moved to Southern California where Kerin would go on to establish his life. He joined the Navy in 1974 and married Paula in 1975, they had their first daughter Misty Lyons in 1977 and their second daughter Cristina Lyons-Westlund in 1980. Around that time Kerin went to work as an Optical Technician for Aerojet Electrosystems in Azusa CA. He worked for Aerojet for 18 years before deciding that it was not what he wanted to do anymore, so he went and learned how to drive a Semi. not long after that Paula decided to learn to drive also so that she and Kerin could be together and also make money. In 1999 they wanted to make a change and move out of California so they packed up and brought their daughters to Lake Havasu where they would end up settling for good. After Kerin became sick and was no longer able to work he would spend his time wood working, he loved taking old wood of any kind and turning it into something beautiful for someone he loved. He made so many amazing things that we are grateful to be able to enjoy forever. He was the kind of man that got up every morning and made his wife breakfast and was always happy and content as long as he was in her presence. He was always good to her and he always treated her and his girls with love and kindness. he truly was something special.
