Frederick "Fritz" Earl Stauffer, 78, went home to be with the Lord on November 15, 2022.
Fritz is survived by his brother Melvin Stauffer, sister Gayleen Haines, daughters Natalie and Sandra, son Paul, along with many other family and friends. Fritz was proceeded in death by his parents Marie Lucinda Stauffer and Melvin Lee Stauffer, his sisters Dolores Egan, Nancy Scott, Carol Johnson and his brother Dennis Stauffer.
Born to Melvin and Marie Stauffer on January 5, 1944, Fritz grew up in Barberton, Ohio, before making his home in Phoenix, Arizona, in the late 1960’s. He served for 2 years from February of 1964 to February of 1966 in the US Army, followed by 4 years in the Army Reserves. Fritz then spent most of his life in Arizona working and enjoying life.
Fritz retired to his ranch in Pie Town, New Mexico where he lived an active retirement working on the ranch and never settling down to take a break. Even in retirement, he loved to work hard and play hard. It wasn’t uncommon to see Fritz up on a ladder or with a bag of cement slung across his shoulders well into his 70’s.
His greatest joys were his family and friends, whom he loved spending time with. Fritz loved to have fun going to places like Puerto Peñasco, Laughlin, California and spending time at the lake on his boat. If you were to ask Fritz how he lived life, he would say "I did it my way."
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 12th at 1:30pm at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 North Cave Creek Road Phoenix, Arizona. Celebration of life from 2:30-3:30pm.
