Eileen Goodwin

–

Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Eileen Theresa Goodwin (55) passed away at home, surrounded by family, on July 15, 2023, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born on July 24, 1967, in Cheverly, Maryland, to James and Anna Domin, joining her five sisters and brother. When she was 5 years old, the family settled in Littleton, Colorado. Eileen lived in the Denver area for 46 years.
In her 20’s, Eileen welcomed two sons, Nicholas and Christopher, raising them primarily as a single parent. A grandson, Aston, joined her family in recent years. Eileen dearly loved her boys and was proud of the men they had become.

Eileen worked as a clerk for the US postal service at various Denver area facilities for 28 years. She met her husband Chuck 12 years ago when they worked together at the Capitol Hill post office. They both retired in 2019 and moved to Lake Havasu City, enjoying golf and hosting family at their home and at the lake. Eileen was an avid dog lover and adored and spoiled her basset hounds, Jasmine and Patty. She recently adopted Lucy, a shepsky mix, from the Western Arizona Humane Society. Eileen loved football, especially the Denver Broncos, the mountains and road trips throughout Colorado and other points west. Her trips always included her family.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Welch, children Nick Domin (Megan Winemiller) and Chris Goodwin, her siblings Jean (Gary) Yoakum, Joe Domin, Anne (Dennis Hetzel) Kerven, Kathy (Vinnie Freauff) Domin, Diana (Harley) Shubart, and Mary (Jeff) Stewart and grandson Aston Winemiller-Domin. In addition, she is missed by nine nieces and nephews and their children.
Her family will miss her amazing sense of humor and the love she projected in so many ways throughout her life. We are so grateful for the time we had with her and will love her always.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Western Arizona Humane Society at 2610 Sweetwater Ave, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406 (www.westernarizonahumane.org).
