Douglas D. Watkins

Douglas Watkins, born in Centralia, WA on July 17, 1937, passed away on December 1, 2022 at the age of 85. He is preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Watkins and is survived by his daughters Kimberly Corbin and Gretchen Curtis as well as grandchildren Zachary Corbin, Grace Harrison and Ellie Scheetz.

Doug worked for over 20 years at Pizza Pete Inc. and after that, he and his daughter Gretchen owned Morfey’s Cake Shoppe for 8 years.
Shortly after retirement, Doug and JoAnn moved to Grantsburg, Wisconsin to be near their grandchildren. Due to failing health, Doug moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ to live with his daughter Kimberly and her husband Craig who cared for him for the last years of his life.
Doug loved gardening, reading books, baking and playing cards with family. No Christmas celebration was complete without his famous Eggnog. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Seattle, WA at a date to be determined.
