Douglas Pfefferle

–

LHC, Arizona

It is with a heavy heart that I, Jessica Hallett, share the news of the passing of my beloved father, Douglas Robert Pfefferle, affectionately known as Doug. Born on January 6, 1950, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Douglas lived an engaging and memorable life until his departure on July 13, 2023. He spent his golden years in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, but his heart always held a special place for Anaheim Hills, California, where he owned a successful used car lot.

Douglas was a remarkable man. He had a keen mind, a ribald sense of humor, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. He was a loving father, a supportive friend, and a smart businessman. His knowledge and passion for sports, especially for the Angels baseball team, were unparalleled. He fondly reminisced about the father-daughter baseball games we attended when I was younger. Douglas was the epitome of resilience and strength Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." Douglas embodied this quote, turning personal hardship into an opportunity to shower me with love and care.

My father was also a man of simple pleasures. He loved going to Pechanga Casino and watching the horse races at the track. He had an uncanny knack for making people laugh, creating a vibrant atmosphere wherever he went. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Louise Pfefferle, his loving wife Gail Pfefferle, and his sister Chris Dubbs. He is survived by me, his daughter, in the words of Shakespeare, "All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances." Douglas played his part with dignity, love, and an unforgettable sense of humor. His exit from our lives leaves a void that will never be filled.

We invite you to share your memories of Douglas and upload photos to the memorial page. Each recollection serves as a testament to his spirit and the profound impact he had on those around him.
